Named one of the nine best new university buildings by Architectural Digest, Pierre Lassonde Studios is a unique 5-story structure that houses student entrepreneurs, innovators and creators at the University of Utah. This iconic “hybrid” structure provides housing for 400 residents in the four stories above a 20,000-square-foot innovation space on the first floor. Measuring in at 160,000-square-feet, Lassonde Studios looks very different than other facilities on campus with its copper cladding, sweeping curves, cantilevered terrace, and exposed concrete. Lassonde Studios was named the most outstanding public building over $10 million from Utah Construction & Design in 2016 and received the Award of Excellence from the Associated General Contractors of Utah.
