With former experience in piping and a passion for design, specifically architecture, Chad was excited to join a team that could help him grow and progress in learning the field of structures. Outside of work he enjoys getting outdoors for some fishing, camping, mountain biking, recreational kayaking, and disc golf.

If you can’t find me outdoors, I hope I can be found sharpening my skills in drafting and design. I enjoy designing new objects and buildings. It is a fun way to solve problems and help myself and others. Outside of that, I will probably be spending time with my wife and dog.

Faith, family, and fun! This is how I live my life. Between my husband and I, we have six children and four grandkids. Spending time with these wonderful people is a priority. I love being outdoors and I’m always up for an adventure. Kayaking, hiking, and four wheeling are some of my favorite pass times. I also like to get my craft on as well as doing DIY projects. My favorite quote is “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.” It’s a simple thing to do, but makes yourself and others a little bit better!

“I can think of no more revitalizing scene than traveling by horseback 10 miles into the High Uintah Mountains, standing in a river with a fishing pole or sitting in the forest on a cool fall morning waiting for a deer or elk to walk past during the bow hunt completely away from all worldly cares. What we do as a profession is hard. With deadlines, unrealistic expectations and last-minute changes, I find solace in knowing that there is relief less than 30 minutes away.”

I truly enjoy what I do for work, designing buildings and looking at things in a different way in order to come up with a solution. Other than work, there are many things that I love about life, but the top 3 would have to be family, burritos and BYU sports. I have a big passion for BYU sports and enjoy watching the games. I’ve always been a big supporter of those around me, so it wouldn’t surprise people (too much) to find out that I was a BYU cheerleader. It’s a little-known fact about me that has been one of the best things that I’ve done. Not only did I learn the art of team work in a high stakes environment, but without it I would have never met my beautiful wife.

Our Services

Our Story

Our Timeline

Beginning

We were different by design.

Dunn Associates was born out of desire. Having worked for a large AE firm in San Francisco and a smaller, yet very profitable, structural consulting firm in the Bay Area, our founder saw both ends of a unique professional spectrum. The process and attitude of professional collaboration was the key. Dunn Associates was based on the culture of “How can I help?” Developing answers to our clients’ questions compelled Dunn Associates to be creative. This was the key to our early success. We were different by design.

Today

We Enable Great Design.

We do this by putting the overall success of the project first. This has expanded our client base from architects to include developers, contractors, insurance and real estate industry, banks, and investors. As we move into the second generation of leadership we are poised to grow, flex with work load, adapt to changing technology, and be selective of clients we choose to provide our services. We will take our lessons learned and invest that knowledge to continue to Enable Great Design.

Tomorrow

Our designs will impact the future.

Though the future cannot be clearly imagined, our desire is to continue to enable our clients through great design and to be an influential voice of the many needed changes in our profession.
