Members of the Dunn Associates, Inc. team attended the topping off celebration of the Young Living Essential Oils Global Headquarters in Lehi, Utah. This office building designed by Scholz Architects and constructed by Okland Construction, is one-of-a-kind. There is no other office building around like it. This 5-story building boasts office space, lab and R&D space, museum, fitness center, full service kitchen and a 3-story water feature. The moment frame structure is laid out with two radial grid systems, which leaves this project with only 4 straight lines. Young Living wanted this building to be designed to a higher standard. It was designed to forces from a seismic event higher than required by the code by 25%. This will allow the building to perform better in an earthquake. Its performance will increase the probability of safety for the employees and ability to fulfill the demands of clients after an earthquake.
