At the center of this concrete powerhouse theater is a 40-foot tall round stage that reaches 60-feet deep below grade. Overhead, a 140-foot set of trusses supports the rigging structures that allow set pieces and actors to be raised and lowered 50-feet above the stage. The structural materials are a combination of structural steel and 18” thick concrete sound walls. Approximately 220, 16” steel pipe piles driven to a depth of up to 95’ deep are required to prevent the structure from “floating” and to support the structure.
